Family villa rental on the French Riviera, a summer to remember
Villas with gardens, pools and room to breathe in Saint-Tropez and Cannes, each visited by our team and supported by a private concierge throughout your family’s stay.
In brief
Speak to Nathalie or AdamA summer villa with children is measured in small things: shade on the terrace at noon, a garden where a ball can be kicked without worry, a pool that is easy to keep an eye on from the kitchen. Our approach to family villa rental on the French Riviera starts there, with how the house will be lived in, before any talk of views.
The collection sits in two places with very different moods. On the Saint-Tropez peninsula, villas stretch from the waterfront of Les Canoubiers to the vineyards along the Route des Plages and the beaches of Pampelonne in Ramatuelle. In Cannes, they sit on residential hillsides such as Californie and La Croix des Gardes, close to the town yet removed from it.
We have been arranging stays since 1989 from our agency at 30 Rue Volta in Paris. Each villa has been visited by our team, breakfast is served daily, and a private concierge is part of every stay, so that the logistics of a family summer rest with us rather than with you.
What to look for in a villa with children
Gardens matter more than most families expect. Villa Orea in Les Marres, Villa Calista inside the gated Parcs de Saint-Tropez and Villa Orvella on the wooded hillside of La Croix des Gardes each have one, which gives younger children somewhere to play beyond the pool deck.
Activities on site help too. Villa Solara, a few minutes’ walk from the Pampelonne beaches, has a tennis court, as does Villa Zeliane in Cannes. A cinema room, found at Villa Orea and Villa Orvella, turns a hot afternoon into a quiet one.
If your children are very young, tell us at the start. Because our team knows each house first hand, we can talk you through how the pool relates to the terrace and living rooms, and how the house is laid out across its levels.
- A garden for play away from the water
- Shade and covered terraces for the hottest hours
- Beaches or a village within easy reach
- Indoor spaces for quieter afternoons
Saint-Tropez or Cannes for a family summer
The Saint-Tropez side suits families who want beach days at the centre of the holiday. The long sandy stretch of Pampelonne is the obvious draw, and a villa close to it, like Villa Solara, means the beach is part of the morning rather than an outing. Villa Calista and Villa Vittoria both sit right on the water.
Cannes suits families who like a town within reach: a walk along the Croisette, an ice cream in the evening, shops for the inevitable forgotten swimsuit. Villas on the hills of Californie, such as Villa Elaris, keep the calm of a residential neighbourhood with the sea in view. Nice Côte d’Azur airport serves both, which keeps arrivals straightforward.
Time together, time to yourselves
The best family summers leave room for parents too. Childcare can be arranged on request, for a few hours by the pool or an evening so the two of you can have dinner alone. A private chef, also available on request, can cook lunches the children enjoy and a later supper for the adults on the terrace.
For a day that everyone remembers, a yacht charter along the coast can be organised, and spa and wellness treatments can be brought to the villa. Your dedicated contact keeps the whole picture in view, so a change of plan on Tuesday does not undo Wednesday.
Riviera villas families enjoy
Houses in Saint-Tropez and Cannes that work well for children, whether for a garden, a court, a quiet setting or a beach close by.
What makes the difference
Every residence is visited by our team, every stay is followed by one dedicated contact, and breakfast and a private concierge are always included.
A house chosen for how you live
We ask about nap times, swimming confidence and how independent your children are. The villa we suggest reflects those answers, not just a wish list.
Help with the parts that tire parents
Transfers, restaurant reservations and childcare are arranged by your concierge on request. You arrive to a plan that is already in place.
Someone who knows the house
Every villa has been visited by our team before joining the collection. When you ask a practical question about steps, shade or the garden, the answer comes from someone who has been there.
Steady support all summer
One dedicated contact follows your stay from the first call to departure. If a child falls ill or the weather turns, you have one person to call.
Good to know
Anything else? Our team in Paris answers personally, usually within the day.
Ask our teamWhich villas have gardens for children to play in?
Villa Orea, Villa Calista, Villa Vittoria, Villa Orvella, Villa Elaris and Villa Zeliane all list a garden among their features. We can describe each one in more detail, including how it relates to the pool.
Can childcare be arranged at the villa?
Yes, your concierge can arrange childcare on request. Let us know the ages of your children, the hours you have in mind and any language preferences, and it will be organised around your days.
Is Saint-Tropez or Cannes better for young children?
Both work well, for different reasons. Saint-Tropez is ideal if you want long beach days, while Cannes suits families who enjoy having a town and its promenade close by. We are glad to weigh it up with you before you choose.
Do you arrange transfers from Nice airport?
Chauffeurs and transfers are arranged on request, and helicopter transfers are available too if you would rather avoid the summer roads. Send your flight details and an idea of the family’s luggage, and the arrival will be planned around them.
What is included in a family villa stay?
Every family stay comes with breakfast served daily and a private concierge. Private chefs, yacht charters, spa treatments and other services are available on request, and everything is set out in your tailored proposal and rental agreement before you confirm.
