Chalet Ambre

Chalet Ambre sits in a private enclave above Verbier, with sweeping views across the surrounding peaks. The Les Esserts and Savoleyres lifts are two to three minutes away by car, and the Médran hub about four. The village centre is a short drive or a kilometre’s walk downhill. A chauffeur is on hand from morning until 10pm.

The chalet covers 700 m² over four floors and sleeps ten guests in five bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. The penthouse suite takes the whole top floor. It has a private balcony, a glass fireplace and a bathroom with a jacuzzi tub. The other four bedrooms can be made up as doubles or twins and open onto the terrace, and two of them connect to form a family suite. A separate two-bedroom apartment with its own entrance is available on request.

The wellness level has a 10-metre infinity-edge pool with a counter-current, a rock sauna and a massage room. Outside, a covered seven-person jacuzzi has 180-degree mountain views, and a cedarwood hot tub sits on the main terrace. A gym with an outdoor training space keeps the active busy. A cinema, a games room with darts and table football, and table tennis keep everyone else entertained.

The living room centres on a feature fireplace, and a wine cellar sits below. In fine weather, the terrace has a barbecue with a rotisserie, an outdoor dining table and sun loungers. A ski room with boot warmers, a laundry and parking for six cars complete the chalet.

A chalet manager and a host run the household, with a private chef and daily housekeeping. Breakfast and afternoon tea are served each day, and dinner six nights a week; food and drink are charged separately. Guests are welcomed with champagne, and lift passes and ski equipment are delivered to the chalet. Fresh flowers and firewood are provided throughout the stay.
