Families settling into a house around Saint-Tropez for a week or more who prefer a home to a hotel

In brief

Speak to Nathalie or Adam

There is a moment, a few mornings in, when a holiday house stops feeling rented. The children know where the towels are kept, someone has claimed the best sun lounger, and breakfast has found its own hour. Saint-Tropez holiday rentals are chosen for exactly that feeling, which no hotel suite, however fine, quite reproduces.

A private villa also changes the shape of the day. Meals happen when the family is hungry rather than when a dining room is open, friends can drop by for lunch, and the evening can end on your own terrace instead of in a queue for a taxi. For families settling in for a week or more, that freedom is the point of the whole trip.

This page is about how a holiday home in Saint-Tropez actually runs: the rhythm of the week, who looks after the house, and how a rental is arranged with us from first message to arrival. Our six villas in and around Saint-Tropez are listed below, with a table showing their layouts.

The weekly rhythm

How a week in a house unfolds

The first day is for arriving. Every villa in our collection here welcomes guests with wine, juices and snacks, most add fresh flowers, and quality linen and bath products are provided throughout. Unpacking, a swim and an unhurried dinner at home are usually all anyone wants on that first evening.

After that, the week tends to find its own shape. Tuesday and Saturday mornings bring the Provençal market to Place des Lices, from 8am until 1pm, and many families make a ritual of shopping there for the house. Beach days at Pampelonne alternate with slow days by the pool, the occasional outing by boat and evenings when the village calls. Our concierge books restaurant tables, arranges car, scooter or boat hire and keeps the plan easy to change.

Not every villa in Saint-Tropez for rent is suited to this kind of stay. A house that works for a long weekend can feel cramped by the middle of a longer one, which is why we look closely at shared spaces, gardens and the places where different generations can each find some peace.

Who looks after the house

Staff that suits the way your family lives

The level of service varies from house to house, and it is worth choosing deliberately. At Villa Solara a private chef, a butler, two housekeepers and a night watchman are included. Villa Vittoria includes a private chef, butler, housekeeper and security, and Villa Calista adds to that same household a private chauffeur from morning until early evening, with daily housekeeping.

Villa Amara includes a housekeeper and daily cleaning, with separate staff quarters so a house team can live on site, while Villa Evara and Villa Orea include housekeeping during the stay and leave the rest to you. At these three, a chef, butler, chauffeur or security can be added on request, and childcare can be arranged too. Villa Orea even has its own beauty salon, where hair appointments and treatments can be booked without leaving home.

  • Full household included: Solara, Vittoria, Calista
  • Housekeeper included, more on request: Amara
  • Housekeeping included, chef and staff on request: Evara, Orea
  • Daily breakfast and a private concierge with every stay
Arranging a rental

From first message to the front door

Arranging one of our St Tropez house rentals is deliberately simple. You tell us your dates, who is travelling and how you like to spend a summer day; we reply, usually within the day, with villas that fit, including some that are not published online. Every villa we suggest has been visited by our team, so we can describe it frankly, from the view out of the master suite to the walk down to the sea.

Once you have chosen, we prepare a tailored proposal and a rental agreement that sets out the terms before anything is confirmed. From then on, one dedicated contact handles your Saint-Tropez villa rental from start to finish, from the transfer out of Nice Côte d’Azur, 94 km away, or Toulon-Hyères, 52 km away, to the chef’s first menu, until the day you leave. Of all the holiday homes in Saint-Tropez we could suggest, the right one is simply the house your family stops noticing, because it works.

Why Lutetia

What makes the difference

Every residence is visited by our team, every stay is followed by one dedicated contact, and breakfast and a private concierge are always included.

I

Service levels set out plainly

We tell you which staff are included at each villa and which can be added. You choose the household you want rather than discovering it on arrival.

II

A house that adapts to the family

Childcare and a private chef can be arranged on request, and our concierge plans outings around the children’s timetable. The villa follows your routine, not the reverse.

III

One contact for the whole stay

One dedicated contact follows the stay from the first call to departure. When you want a boat on Thursday or an extra table on Saturday, you write to the same person.

IV

A Paris agency since 1989

Our agency at 30 Rue Volta in Paris has been arranging private residences since 1989. Every villa in the collection is visited by the team before it joins.

Questions

Good to know

Anything else? Our team in Paris answers personally, usually within the day.

Ask our team
Why choose a holiday rental over a hotel in Saint-Tropez?

A private villa gives your family its own pool, garden and kitchen, and a household that works to your timetable. Friends can join for lunch, children can play freely and the evening ends on your own terrace. With daily breakfast and a private concierge included, you keep the comforts of a hotel without its constraints.

Which Saint-Tropez villas include staff in the rental?

Villa Solara, Villa Vittoria and Villa Calista include a private chef, a butler, housekeeping and either security or a night watchman, and Calista adds a chauffeur from morning to early evening. Villa Amara includes a housekeeper. At the other villas, staff can be arranged on request.

Can we stay for longer than a week?

Yes, subject to availability for your dates. Longer stays are easier to secure when planned early, and staff, chef and transfers can follow the same rhythm throughout. Tell us the dates you have in mind and we will check each villa.

What is waiting for us when we arrive?

Guests are welcomed with wine, juices and snacks, and at most villas with fresh flowers as well. Quality linen and bath products are provided, housekeeping is part of every stay on this page, and breakfast is served daily. Your dedicated contact confirms the details for your villa before you travel.

How is a Saint-Tropez holiday rental confirmed?

After you choose a villa, we send a tailored proposal setting out the price for your dates and services, followed by a rental agreement with the terms of the stay. The booking is confirmed only once you have reviewed and signed it. Your dedicated contact walks you through each step.
