A luxury ski chalet for a group of friends, organised by one of you
Chalets in the great Alpine resorts for friends who ski hard, eat well and talk late, with one contact who helps the organiser keep everything in hand.
There is usually one person in every group who ends up organising the ski trip. They collect the dates, field the questions and quietly hope the chalet lives up to the photographs. If that is you, this page is written with you in mind: how to choose a luxury ski chalet for a group of friends, and how to make the week feel effortless for everyone, including yourself.
Our collection spans Courchevel, Verbier, Zermatt and St. Moritz, and each chalet has been visited by our team before it joined. That first-hand knowledge is useful with friends, because the questions are specific: whether the bedrooms feel equal, whether the dining room can hold everyone around one table, whether the jacuzzi is on the terrace or tucked indoors.
From our agency in Paris, founded in 1989, we assign one dedicated contact to your stay. You share the details once, and they follow the trip from the first call to departure.
Keeping the planning light
Group trips tend to unravel in the details: arrivals spread across the day, someone wanting a lesson, a birthday nobody mentioned until the week before. Your contact keeps a single view of all of it. Chauffeurs and transfers can be arranged for each flight, tables booked for the big night out, and the concierge, included in every stay, handles the requests that come up once you are there.
Before anything is confirmed, you receive a tailored proposal and a rental agreement, so you can share the plan with the group with confidence. If none of the published chalets fit your dates, ask anyway: some residences are available that are not published online.
It also helps to decide early how the group wants to spend its days. Some friends ski from first lift to last, others prefer a long lunch and an afternoon in the spa; a chalet with a sauna or hammam, and a chef on request, lets both camps end the day happily in the same place.
- Send dates, resort and how the group likes to ski
- Mention any celebrations planned during the week
- Flag arrivals that fall outside the main travel day
Evenings that keep the group together
With friends, the chalet is the social centre of the week. A wine cellar, a cinema room or a spa changes the shape of the evenings. Chalet Ambre in Verbier combines a sauna, jacuzzi, cinema room, gym and wine cellar in a private enclave with sweeping views across the surrounding peaks, and a chauffeur is on hand for nights in the village.
A private chef, available on request, means dinner can be as relaxed or as celebratory as the mood of the day. Breakfast is served every morning, which helps when the first lift is calling and not everyone is at their sharpest.
Where to stay for the week you want
Some groups want to walk out of the door into the village. Chalet Valmont sits in the Cospillot quarter at the heart of Courchevel 1850, Chalet Zeyr enjoys a privileged setting in the heart of Zermatt, and Chalet Nore is in the heart of St. Moritz, all well placed for evenings out.
Others prefer a chalet set apart, with the village a short drive away. Chalet Orizon is a private estate high in the Sonalon area above Verbier, with an indoor pool, hammam and cinema room. Its private chauffeur makes the distance irrelevant, and the quiet becomes part of the pleasure.
Chalets for friends who ski together
A mix of central chalets and secluded estates, each with spaces that make evenings with friends easy.
What makes the difference
Every residence is visited by our team, every stay is followed by one dedicated contact, and breakfast and a private concierge are always included.
A partner for the organiser
We know that one person carries the planning for the whole group. Your dedicated contact makes that role lighter, answering questions and arranging details without fuss.
Accurate expectations
Our team has visited every chalet, so what you share with your friends matches what you will find. Fewer surprises make for a better first evening.
Flexible arrivals
Chauffeurs and transfers can be arranged on request for friends landing at different times. Nobody spends the first afternoon waiting at an airport.
Room for a surprise
If the trip marks a birthday or a milestone, events and celebrations can be organised in the chalet. The concierge prepares it quietly, out of sight of the guest of honour.
Good to know
Anything else? Our team in Paris answers personally, usually within the day.
Ask our teamHow far ahead should a group reserve a ski chalet?
The earlier the better, especially for the festive season and the February weeks, when demand across the Alps is highest. Starting early also gives the group time to agree on dates. Get in touch with a few options and we will advise on what is realistic.
Can friends arrive on different flights?
Yes, and transfers can be arranged for each arrival on request. Share flight details as they are confirmed and your contact will coordinate them so that everyone reaches the chalet without waiting around.
Which chalets are best for evenings in?
Chalets that pair a cinema room and a wine cellar with a sauna tend to be favourites with groups of friends. Chalet Ambre, Chalet Morelle and Chalet Valmont all bring these together. We can suggest others in the resort you prefer.
Can a private chef cook for the group every night?
A private chef can be arranged on request, for every evening or only a few. Many groups keep a night or two free for restaurants, and your concierge can make those reservations as well.
Is it possible to plan a surprise for one of the group?
Yes. Events and celebrations are organised on request, and your contact will keep the plans between the two of you. Tell us the occasion and the kind of evening you have in mind.
